The Howard De Walden Community Centre is a community led and community run centre in the borough of Maidstone. We exist to offer a a centre for the residents of Maidstone and its neighbourhood.
How we are run
We are run by a group of dedicated Trustees for the benefit of the Maidstone community, lead by our Chairman, Mike FitzGerald MBE.
We have a centre manager, David Naghi. David is available for emergencies during bookings.
Our Clerk to the Trustees is Jane Clarke. Jane is the person to contact for all booking and general enquiries.

Our regular users
The Howard De Walden Community Centre is lucky to have a range of regular users of the centre.
This includes small, local charities, a pre-school, a Sure Start Centre from Kent County Council and several fitness and sport groups.

Our history
We have been part of the Maidstone community for over 100 years.
The name of Howard de Walden though has been part of the Maidstone community for much longer.
The current Howard De Walden Community Centre building was built in the early 1900’s. We have been here since October 1975.
